Manchester United Takeover: Manchester United SALE – The Glazers have been trying to sell Manchester United for quite a while now. But it doesn’t seem as though they have been getting the desired outcome so far. The process is long and it has been stalling for a while now. But now, we might be closer to getting to the end. The Glazers have wanted to still stay on as owners in the club, although with a minority stake. The Glazer family will be offered a deal to stay on at Manchester United by Britain’s richest man, Sir Jim Ratcliffe. Follow Manchester United Football Club LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN

The 69 percent ownership interest held by the Glazers in the Old Trafford club was being considered for purchase by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his Ineos firm. Ratcliffe is now prepared to make an offer, which is sure to enrage United supporters who are eager to get rid of their 18-year owners.

As a result, some supporters may decide to switch their allegiance to Qatari financier Sheikh Jasin bin Hamad al-Thani, who still intends to make a pitch for a purchase worth more than £5.5 billion when he submits his third offer on Friday. In Sir Jim’s proposed scheme, Joel and Avram Glazer would keep their combined 20% stake in the club while he would still hold a controlling position of more than 50%.

The majority of United supporters, who have made it very obvious how angry and frustrated they are with the Glazers, are likely to be alarmed by such a proposal. But given that the pair’s desire to stay at the club seems to have risen recently, it might end up being their preferred choice.

Sheikh Jassim’s bid

While four hedge funds, including Elliott Management and the Carlyle Group, would contribute cash injections to fund future growth, Sheikh Jassim still intends to launch a bid for complete control of the club.

The latest Ratcliffe move, though, might prove to be a game-changer, even though the possibility of ongoing Glazer participation may enrage some supporters. Earlier this month, Gary Neville lashed out at rumors that the American investment firm Carlyle might be planning to make a significant investment in Manchester United.

According to reports, the US-based private equity firm is vying to acquire a small part of the team. The Glazers have received a lot of criticism from United great Neville, who was upset by the announcement and posted an image of the company’s purpose statement on Twitter.

Neville said, ‘No thank you! This doesn’t work for United! The Glazer PR machine keeps leaking this type of minority partnership out there bi-weekly whilst stressing it’s a confidential process. Full Sale Only.’
