Both parties have registered interest in the takeover and submitted bids with American merchant Raine Group, handling the process for the Glazers. But there were no bids exceeding the record-breaking valuation of £6 billion.

According to sources, the Qatari’s offer is an improvement over his previous one, but he won’t go anywhere close to £6 billion and is determined not to massively overpay.

Sheikh Jassim has promised Manchester United supporters that he will work to restore the team’s previous glories both on and off the pitch, and most importantly will work to reestablish the fans at the heart of Manchester United once more.

Moreover, reports in The Sun claimed that the Qatari billionaire will sanction a move to bring Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar to the Premier League. United boss Erik Ten Hag is in desperate need of a striker and signing the Brazilian would be a major coup for the team.

On the other hand, INEOS, led by British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe, submitted a new offer ahead of the deadline. Additionally, proposals will be made by organisations looking to purchase a minority stake, such as Elliott Management, Ares Management Corporation, Sixth Street, and Carlyle.

Moreover, INEOS has proposed an offer that would allow Joel and Avram Glazer, the two Glazer siblings who are most involved at Old Trafford, to keep a share in the team. However, the move has already drawn criticism from fans.

United legend Gary Neville has often stated that any deal that would result in the Glazers remaining at the club should be rejected.

‘No thank you! This doesn’t work for United!’ Neville said reports of private equity firms lined up for a bid for a minority stake. ‘The Glazer PR machine keeps leaking this type of minority partnership out there bi-weekly whilst stressing it’s a confidential process!’ he added

Before Sunday’s game against Aston Villa at Old Trafford, fans are planning a protest against the Glazers in which they will demand that the hated Americans oversee a full sale of United rather than any other option.
