Sir Alex Ferguson makes shock return: In an unexpected move by the Manchester United board, Sir Alex Ferguson returns back to the club.

The report by the paper says, Chief executive Richard Arnold has set up a think-tank involving Ferguson to advise United on issues at the club. Ferguson met United chiefs on Tuesday. On the same day that Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Carrington for the first time since last season.

Arnold is eager to involve Ferguson in matters at the club.

The iconic manager has won 38 trophies with the Red Devils, including 13 Premier League titles. One of the points of discussion is claimed to be the best way to redevelop Carrington and Old Trafford. The club’s relationship with fans is reported to be another item on the agenda.

United Struggle to keep Ronaldo 

  • As things stand, legendary player Cristiano Ronaldo is not satisfied with the club and has vowed to leave.
  • Ronaldo returned back to the training last week and was missing form the trip to Asia and Australia due to family reasons.
  • United won’t be playing in the Champions League in the upcoming season. This has dented Ronaldo’s ambitions to remain at the top of the goal scorers chart in the competition.
  • The five-time winner of the competition has been prime feature in the Champions League. United’s failure to qualify for the Champions League and instead play in the Europa League has been a stumbling block for Ronaldo.
