Manchester United New Manager: Which Man United players will be SOLD before the start of 2022/23 season?
We take a look at the Top 5 players who could be on their way out as a new manager arrives at Old Trafford.
5. Anthony Martial
Contract expires: 2024 (with one-year option)
The French winger who was dubbed as Thierry Henry has not had best time at Manchester United recently which had forced him to join Sevilla on loan in the January Transfer window. Recent reports suggest that Anthony Martial is not having a good time in Spain as well but his performances say a different story having played regularly and even scoring his first goal for the club.
Martial could be on his way out either to Spain or Italy in the summer when a new manager is appointed as Anthony Elanga, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo have occupied the frontline spots and a new young and hungry forward could also be signed in the summer.
4. Juan Mata
Aged, 33 the Spanish magician who is nicknamed ‘El Mago’ at the club could also be another player who will leave the club having seen very little playing time in the last couple of seasons. Reports suggest that Juan Mata could either leave for Spain just as Manchester City midfielder David Silva did or the Ex-Chelsea player could join the Man United management team but it could surely be an end in the Red Devils jersey for Mata.

3. Eric Bailly
Contract expires: 2024 (with one-year option)
Marcos Rojo in 2018, Phil Jones and Andreas Pereira in 2019 and Eric Bailly in 2021. Bailly has played only seven times this season.
At times, he has been unfairly overlooked but when Bailly gets a look-in it is a matter of time until he does something hazardous, like scoring an own goal in the derby. Bailly cast doubt on his future weeks after agreeing a renewal in April and his situation has worsened.
The Ivory Coast international has played 113 times for United and would have to appear seven more times this season just to guarantee a 20-game-per-season average.
2. Jesse Lingard
Jesse Lingard who had an exceptional second-half 2020/2021 season with West Ham United decided to stay at Man United and has barely played any football at his childhood club. In the Winter, he was on the verge of leaving for Newcastle United but his transfer was blocked by the board as Mason Greenwood was arrested which left them with very few options on the bench.
Jesse could definitely leave the club as he aims to be a part of the England squad for the World Cup in Qatar and a suitable move would for him would be to either Newcastle United, West Ham United or Tottenham Hotspur.

Edinson Cavani played brilliantly well when he joined Man United in January 2021 and scored 10 goals in his 26 appearances, but this season the Uruguayan has been out due to regular injuries which has kept him out quite often and has managed to score just two goals in his 12 appearances so far.
Cavani could be on his way to join River Plate or Boca Juniors as the veteran striker has just a couple of 4-5 games left to prove his longevity as he is currently out after picking up a knock in his International duty.
The other players who are expected to leave are Phil Jones, Lee Grant, Dean Henderson and Axel Tuanzebe as Manchester United look for a squad revamp ahead of the new season.
