Erik Ten Hag has been handed a major double injury boost ahead of their Champions League clash with Copenhagen. Marcus Rashford and Victor Lindelof both missed Man United’s league game against Fulham last weekend. However, both of these key players have been seen in training ahead of the match. Rashford seems to be completely healed from the heavy knock he sustained. Whereas, Lindelof is also coming back from an illness. After losing two opening games, Manchester United will have to fight hard for a win to book a top 2 spot.
Manchester United coach Erik Ten Hag is yet to field his strongest XI in any match this season. They not only have a long injury list, but most of those injuries are long-term cases. Additionally, the hectic schedule is not helping their case. As a result, the season-opening period is not going their way. They have lost 2 of their opening Champions League games. Their first win came against Copenhagen at the end of October. The Red Devils will be looking to repeat that feat.
Man United and their chances of progressing into the knockout stages will be endangered if they don’t win this midweek’s match. In the stress of that, coach Erik Ten Hag has been handed a major doubt injury boost. Both Marcus Rashford and Victor Lindelof missed last weekend’s Premier League match against Fulham. Rashford sustained a heavy knock during the training session. He travelled with the team, but after a late check-up, he looked to be unfit to play and missed the match. Whereas Lindelof fell ill before the match.
However, after missing that game, both have come back to training with the first team ahead of their Champions League clash. During the pre-match press conference, the coach said Rashford is 100% fit to play on Wednesday. Rashford who was an extremely important part of Man United’s success last season, has not been able to impress so far into this season. He only has a single goal so far. Hence, Rashford will be determined to get back to form as soon as possible.
