“Playing for Manchester United is one of the highest honours that you can have in football,” Dalot told the club’s website. “We have shared some fantastic moments over the past five years. I’ve grown so much and my passion for this incredible club has only increased since the day that I joined. As a group of players, we all feel like we are at the start of a special journey right now. I can assure you that I will dedicate myself relentlessly to helping this group to achieve our aims and make the fans proud of this team.”
Dalot has been a key player for United this season, making 42 games across all leagues to help them win the Carabao Cup, finish third in the Premier League, and advance to the next FA Cup final. The 24-year-old has been linked to a transfer away this summer despite his significance, with Real Madrid and Barcelona reportedly showing interest.
Prior to the World Cup break, the 24-year-old was in excellent form for United and started each Premier League game under Ten Hag. However, he was suspended and was unable to play in the 2-1 victory against Fulham on November 13.

Dalot, 24, is still a crucial component of Ten Hag’s vision going forward even though he has not yet been able to reach the same heights that he did earlier in the season, in part because of the strong play of the returning Aaron Wan Bissaka.
The Portugal international will seek to advance even further now that he has signed a new contract. His first goal will be to assist United overcome Manchester City in the FA Cup final on Saturday.
