It was big day for Everton who hover just above the relegation zone as they hosted Manchester United but they did just enough for a 1-0 win. The visitors were the ones initially on the attacking front as Marcus Rashford threatened on multiple occasions while chances were few for the hosts.

However, something then inspired Frank Lampard’s side around the 20-minute mark and they took the game to their opponents. Eventually, their determination proved to be beneficial as 21-old Anthony Gordon put the Toffees in front when his shot deflected off Harry Maguire and past David de Gea.

Then even after coming out into the second half, Manchester United lacked a spark while Everton pushed for more. None of Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes or Cristiano Ronaldo could find a way to make things all square and the visitors looked out of options.
