Manchester City: It’s time to party in Manchester! Well, at least for the blue side of Manchester. Manchester City have been in sublime form in 2023 and their hard work has seen them win the Premier League for the third time in a row. They were in a tug-of-war with Arsenal but the Gunners faltered at the wrong time in the title race. After City’s 1-0 win over Chelsea, the players were handed the Premier League Trophy. Later, in the dressing room, the players soaked the title and celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm. Follow Manchester City LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN

The celebration of Man City’s heroes winning the Premier League was in full swing. After winning the title yesterday when title challengers Arsenal fell to Nottingham Forest, the Cityzens defeated Chelsea at the Etihad. The players headed to the locker room after the final whistle sounded before receiving their awards.
The violent scenes inside were filmed by Sky Sports cameras as they followed them inside. The team’s drink was raised, and Spanish midfielder Rodri was seen wildly swigging from it with his teammates. Bernardo Silva, who defeated Real Madrid in a 4-0 second-leg rout, was seen eating a boxed pizza while starving.
Jack Grealish led his squad members and the backroom personnel in song at another location, front, and center of the chorus. The celebration on the field quickly picked up steam as the trophy was given out. Kyle Walker doused Erling Haaland in champagne as he raised the Premier League trophy.
Players and staff, including Guardiola, wore Man City shirts as they got their medals from Premier League president Richard Masters, as has become a common sight in recent years. The trophy was then raised by captain Ilkay Gundogan in front of a jubilant Etihad Stadium.
After Chelsea provided City with the guard of honor prior to kickoff, though, Chelsea supporters were divided. City manager Pep Guardiola decided to rest key players like Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne, and Ilkay Gundogan with the title already sealed and the FA Cup as well as Champions League still to play for. Chelsea fans lamented his team selection online – and were not happy to see the ‘most expensive guard of honour’ for City’s ‘B team’.
City’s celebrations
After the final whistle blew at the City Ground, after Arsenal had dropped points against Nottingham Forest on Saturday night, City’s stars were seen jumping for glee and hugging one another at the club’s training facility.
Captain Ilkay Gundogan took to Twitter soon after to celebrate the club’s incredible achievement. He said, ‘To have helped the club win a third straight Premier League title is something very special.’
He continued, ‘The Premier League is without doubt the most demanding and competitive league in the world so that tells you everything about what an achievement this is.’
He ended by saying, ‘This squad is so talented and so special and to have been captain this season has been an enormous privilege. To have won this trophy three times in a row and five times in six years is incredible. It has been a season I will never forget.’
