Man City, Arsenal dominate PFA awards, with Haaland, Saka as front runners

Manchester City and Arsenal dominate the PFA awards, with Erling Haaland and Bukayo Saka leading the way in two categories.

The six candidates for the Men’s PFA Young Player of the Year award are announced, with the Arsenal and Man City stars leading the pack. Erling Haaland and Bukayo Sakas both received nominations, for example. each in the men’s game’s respective senior and young player categories.

For 50 years, the PFA Awards have been a major event in the world of football. The shortlist for the 2023 Men’s Young Player of the Year has officially been made public by the organisation. Six exceptionally talented individuals under the age of 21 have been nominated for the honour. Last year’s winner was Phil Foden, a teammate of Haaland’s from City.

Erling Haaland, a goal-scoring prodigy for Manchester City, and Bukayo Saka, an outstanding winger for Arsenal, are among the contenders for the 2022–23 season’s honours for young player and players’ player of the year.

Jacob Ramsey, a midfielder for Aston Villa, and Gabriel Martinelli, a winger for Arsenal, are also on the short list. Evan Ferguson and Moises Caicedo, a duo from Brighton. The latter recently moved to Chelsea for a £115 million ($146 million) British record.

Haaland has found himself nominated for both esteemed men’s PFA awards after an outstanding campaign. With his goal-scoring prowess, he assisted City in winning a historic triple. His 52 goals this season in all competitions make him a front-runner for the award.

Arsenal finished second in the Premier League because to Bukayo Saka’s outstanding season. Their top league performance in the previous ten years. Over all competitions, he scored 15 goals and assisted on 11 others. The 21-year-old is poised to excel for both club and nation.
