Man United vs Everton Live: Premier League LIVE – MUN vs EVE LIVE – Manchester United fly out to Liverpool for their match against Everton this weekend. This will be the Toffee’s first match after 10 points were deducted due to the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability rules breach. This has seen them fall down to the relegation zone. On the other hand, Man United was extremely inconsistent before going into the international break. Both teams will be looking to get a win to improve their situation.

Manchester United won their last Premier League match before going into the international break against Luton Town. They won by a narrow 1-0 margin, courtesy of Victor Lindelof. This saw them extend their tally to 4th Premier League win in their last 5 matches.

However, their performance has left a lot to desire as they have registered all 4 wins by only single-goal margins. They are now in 8th place in the league table, 5 points behind the top 4. The Red Devils will try to better their situation with a win against Everton.

Everton extended their unbeaten streak to 4 matches throughout all competitions before going into the international break. They won 2-3 against Crystal Palace in the Premier League. However, when everyone’s concentration was on national duties, Toffee faithfuls were hit with the toughest news.

They were handed a 10-point deduction as the biggest punishment in the Premier League’s history for breaching their Profit and Sustainability rules. Sitting in 19th place in the relegation zone, they will be determined to win against the Red Devils.

Manchester United Team News

  • Manchester United have a number of injury concerns ahead of their clash against Everton this weekend. Amad Diallo and Tyrell Malacia are out with knee issues, Jonny Evans and Casemiro are recovering from thigh problems, Lisandro Martinez is nursing a foot injury, while Facundo Pellistri is yet to recover from a knock he sustained.
  • Additionally, Jadon Sancho won’t be seen anytime soon due to disciplinary issues. In the form of good news, coach Ten Hag has Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka back in training. Shaw has recovered from his surgery and Wan-Bissaka recovered from his illness and both could be a part of this match. There were some concerns regarding Andre Onana who sustained an adductor issue during his time with Cameroon.
  • However, the goalkeeper seems to have become fit enough to play the match. Yet the same cannot be said about Rasmus Hojlund who picked up a thigh issue during their last Premier League match. Hence, he will remain a doubt. Christian Eriksen also sustained a knee injury in the same match. The coach who won’t be on the sidelines to serve out suspension said Eriksen’s recovery will take a few weeks.

Everton Team News

  • During their 2-3 win against Crystal Palace, the Toffees lost Amadou Onana due to a tight calf. The 22-year-old United-linked midfielder failed to travel with the Belgium squad. As per coach Dyche, it doesn’t seem like Onana will be able to appear for the match against the Red Devils.
  • In Onana’s absence, last match’s saviour for the Toffees, Idrissa Gueye could be deployed in the defense line alongside James Garner. However, even though his goal gave Everyone the crucial 3 points in their last match, that may not be enough to earn him a place in the starting XI if Onana recovers by the time.
  • On the other hand, Andre Gomes will be back on the field after recovering from his own calf problem. However, Seamus Coleman is slowly recovering and building up his fitness. Hence, he might not be able to start the match as of yet. Meanwhile, Dele Alli is still recovering from his groin injury and will not play this weekend.
