Although he ultimately remained at the Etihad, his future remains uncertain. There are reports suggesting that Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is considering a significant transfer bid for Bernardo Silva as a potential replacement for the departing Lionel Messi.
It appears that the Manchester City midfielder is open to the idea of such a move.
Silva spoke after City booked their place in the Champions League final on Wednesday night, he told RMC: “My plan is to complete well the season, win the Premier League and then the two finals.
“Then, this summer we will see what happens.“
The prospect of securing a place in PSG’s star-studded lineup and the allure of a lucrative contract could be enticing factors that may persuade Silva to consider leaving Manchester City.
However, Manager Pep Guardiola has expressed his desire to keep the Portuguese. Last summer he said,
“I’m no one to tell Barca to forget about [signing] Bernardo.
“We want him to stay with us, but I don’t want anyone who’s not happy.
“The first thing would be for the clubs to come to an agreement, but there has been no offer for him in these last two years.
“I don’t want him to go, he’s a superlative player and a great person… and there are only seven or eight days left [in the window] and we would have to turn to the transfer market.”
