Manchester City might get a significant boost ahead of their match against Liverpool this weekend. Erling Haaland was spotted in training ahead of  City’s match against Liverpool. The Reds would have preferred to avoid his presence in the present, but it appears that Haaland is ready to return.

During the international break, Erling Haaland suffered an ankle injury during Euro 2024 qualifiers. As a result, he was unable to make it to a game against Scotland.

Thus there were concerns about his games at club level when he returned to the Etihad Stadium. Despite the fact that he had to return to Manchester early, Haaland is now expected to be fit for the top-of-the-table encounter against the Reds.

Speaking at his press conference, as quoted by talkSport, Man City boss Pep Guardiola said on his striker: “He trained yesterday with some niggles but today we have the last training and hopefully he can be part of it.”

Haaland, on the other hand, has been put through his tests with the rest of Pep Guardiola’s team as they prepare for a crucial Premier League encounter with Liverpool. The 23-year-old striker, who scored 52 goals in City’s treble-winning season last season, seems to be fully fit.

This season, Haaland has 13 goals in 12 league games. He’ll undoubtedly be eager to add to his incredible Premier League goal scoring record against Liverpool.

The former Borussia Dortmund star was not the only Manchester City player to sustain an injury during the international break.Goalkeeper Ederson also suffered a slight injury, forcing him to withdraw from Brazil’s roster. He did, however, return to training this week.

Mateo Kovacic, Nathan Ake, and Matheus Nunes have all suffered setbacks. Long-term injuries have also sidelined Kevin De Bruyne, John Stones, and Sergio Gomez.
