The Argentine has begun training with the team on Thursday after flying to Paris this week and signing a contract until 2023. His deal with PSG also has various clauses with an option allowing the 34-year-old an option to extend his stay in Paris for an additional year.
Messi is also said to insert an ‘Argentina clause’ that will allow him to prioritize matches for his national team over PSG. The former Barcelona captain is the fourth Argentine to be in the Parisians’ squad, joining Leandro Paredes, Angel Di Maria, and Mauro Icardi in the French capital.

PSG star Neymar is also said to have stayed in one of its super-suites when he moved to Paris in 2017. Currently living in a hotel, the Messi family is said to be looking for a house in the suburbs of Paris.
The six-time Ballon’dor Winner is expected to find a place near the club’s training ground. One of his closest friends, Neymar has a mansion in Bougival, and the 34-year-old is expected to move into the Brazilian suburb and be his neighbor.
