Inter Miami planning to sign Lionel Messi & Sergio Busquets
Giving more insight on Lionel Messi & Sergio Busquets transfer, Neville said “I’m not going to deny it and say there isn’t truth in the speculation that we’re interested in Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets. Since I joined Miami, I think we’ve been linked with every single top player in world football.
Inter will not be the only team in the race to sign Messi but Neville is confident of the club landing both players in the summer. He added “From Sergio Ramos, Dani Alves, Robert Lewandowski, Willian, Cesc Fàbregas, Luis Suárez all of them you can rattle off. We’re always going to be linked with the best players in the world. We had Gonzalo Higuaín and Blaise Matuidi. Now we’ve got the opportunity to bring in some new designated players following their retirements.”
Messi in the past has stated his desire of playing in the MLS. The Argentina skipper had said that he was not sure if there was any possibility of that happening. He had said, “I would like to play in the United States someday, it’s always been one of my dreams… but I don’t know if it will happen!”.
David Beckham who admires Messi has also not played the possibility of bringing him to the club. He said, They’re playing at such a high level that it’s hard to see them leaving the clubs they are at, but we will see. You never know what can happen in football.”
“Everyone has their wish list, everyone does, but if you look at the way Leo and Cristiano are still playing, even at what you might think is the later stage of their careers, I don’t see it ending for them”.

Future of Lionel Messi & Sergio Busquets
Despite strong interest from Inter Miami Busquets might continue for one more season at Barcelona. The midfielder continues to be an important part of Xavi’s Barcelona team. The manager is also keen to keep the midfielder at Camp Nou. Despite Xavi’s interest Al-Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo’s new team is keen to sign Busquets.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Busquets was offered €18 million ($19.3 million) each season on a two-year contract. It is far less than the $210 million that Ronaldo is rumored to receive, as well as the $350 million that Al-rival Nassr’s Al-Hilal are reportedly prepared to offer in order to sign Lionel Messi.
Messi on the other hand continues to be linked with various club. The contract talks between PSG and the FIFA World Cup winner is yet to happen. Barcelona are believed to be eager to sign him but their finances might prove to be a major hurdle. Messi is also being linked with a move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal on a mammoth $300 million (£247.4m) annual salary. It remains to be seen if Messi stays at PSG or will he find a new home at MLS.
