Lionel Messi lends support to Neymar after Brazilian suffers ACL injury

Lionel Messi shared his thoughts on Neymar's injury and he showed support to the Brazilian. The Argentine has posted a “lots of strength” message on Instagram with an image of the pair celebrating a goal together at Camp Nou.

Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr are best buddies since their Barcelona time. They also played together for PSG. Neymar recently faced an ACL injury during the international break and Lionel Messi sends strength to his former teammate. Neymar’s injury is serious and he will miss a significant part of the current season.

Al Hilal forward suffered knee ligament damage during a World Cup qualifying encounter for Brazil. He left the field in tears after being forced out of the ground. Brazil went on to lose the game against Uruguay which was their first loss in the qualifying competition.

The former PSG striker will be sidelined from football action for a longer time. There is no clear update on his recovery time. The 31-year-old faced second injury in the last 12 months. He faced an injury last year during the World Cup 2022 and it hurt Brazil. He missed out major part of the season for PSG.

The 31-year-old forward could miss out 2024 Copa America for Brazil. It means, his injury is pretty serious. Indian fans will also miss out him for Al Hilal’s AFC Champions League encounter against Mumbai City on November 06. This is a major concern for his club. He made a summer signing to the Saudi Pro League club for a record transfer fee.
