Lionel Messi drops HAT-TRICK on his birthday, WATCH Rosario celebrating in unison

Lionel Messi's hometown, Rosario, Argentina, celebrated his 36th birthday with a bang. The whole of La Bombonera was dancing and jumping on the ocassion.

Argentina captain and World Cup champion Lionel Messi celebrated his birthday with a hat-trick at the Juan Roman Riquelme testimonial. This is for the first time since bagging the coveted WC trophy, Messi is enjoying his birthday in Rosario. Leo Messi was one of the high profile names at the Riquelme testimonial at the home of Boca Juniors, La Bombonera on Saturday.

La Bombonera hosted a number of other prominent figures from Argentine football, including Messi, Carlos Bianchi, Lionel Scaloni, Walter Samuel, Pablo Aimar, Maxi Rodriguez, Leandro Paredes, Guillermo Barros Schelotto, and Jorge Bermudez.

Lionel Messi’s hometown, Rosario, Argentina, celebrated his 36th birthday with a bang. The whole of La Bombonera was dancing and jumping on the ocassion. And Lionel Messi rewarded them with him his extraordinary footy skills as he scored a sensational hat-trick.

“It had been a long time since I spent a birthday in Rosario with my family and friends. It’s the first time since I’ve been world champion, so it’s special,” said Leo Messi.

The star of Inter Miami, Lionel Messi, turned 36 on Saturday, June 24, and is having the time of his life.

The Argentine great, who has so far won almost all of the individual and team accolades available, is widely regarded as the greatest football player of all time.

In 2022, Messi helped Argentina win its third World Cup trophy when his team defeated France in a thrilling penalty shootout. Messi scored twice in the championship match.

He scored seven goals in seven games to become the first player since the last-16 round was introduced in 1986 to score in each round of the same World Cup.
