Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo return for international break

Prior to the Euro 2024 qualifiers, Cristiano Ronaldo was all smiles during Portugal’s training session. When Portugal plays Slovakia on Friday, the 38-year-old goal scorer will play in his 201st international game. In order to earn three points and increase their advantage at the top of Group J, Ronaldo has been practicing with the team under Roberto Martinez’s cautious eye.

On his Instagram page, the legendary striker posted two images showing him having fun with Otavio, Ruben Dias, Bruno Fernandes, Joao Felix, and Bernardo Silva. In contrast, in the second, he is injured while practising his shooting.

Lionel Messi too will be back in action with the Albiceleste. The Inter Miami player will have all the eyes on him as Argentina begin their journey for the World Cup 2026.

Argentina will be playing against Ecuador in their WC Qualifying opening game. Then, they will be battling against Bolivia. The World Champs will be hoping to kick-off their new campaign in style.

Lionel Messi has been in scintillating form ever since his move to Inter Miami. Even though there is speculation that Leo won’t be around until the 2026 World Cup, he will be hoping to help them qualify for the tournament.

Messi gets new Adidas boots ahead

Adidas have released a new Lionel Messi shoe. Adidas just introduced the X Crazyfast Messi ‘Las Estrellas’ to Messi’s outstanding collection of trademark boots. Shortly following the release of his ‘Infinito’ boots, Adidas have released new Leo shoes. The Infinito shoes have gone really wild online and every fan wants one for themself.

The new X Crazyfast Messi “Las Estrellas” (‘The Stars’) design incorporates the colours of the Argentinian flag. It also features three stars that recognise the nation’s hat-trick of World Cup victories (1978, 1986, and 2022).

It was inspired by Messi’s iconic 2022 World Cup boots, the “Leyenda,” and is known as the “Stars” model. Leo’s trademark, the G.O.A.T. sign-off, and the number 10 on the heel are further design elements.

‘Las Estrellas’ is the first official Messi signature boot that commemorates Argentina’s historic victory in Qatar. Adidas already honoured Messi’s World Cup victory with a one-of-a-kind bespoke ‘Leyenda’ boot. That included two stars and the G.O.A.T design on the toe box.

Messi has been playing for Inter Miami with the brand-new ‘Infinito’ boots, but he is anticipated to switch to the new ‘Las Estrellas’ models for Argentina’s forthcoming matches against Ecuador and Bolivia.
