People have been engulfed in the rumours of Lionel Messi’s possible comeback to Barcelona. Opinions on the matter have been asked starting from club officials, like President Laporta, vice-president Rafa Yuste, and coach Xavi, to players, like Robert Lewandowski and retired Gerard Pique. Recently, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti was asked for his opinion of the possibility.

Real Madrid have struggled to compete with Barcelona this season at the domestic level. The arrival of Lionel Messi to Barcelona could make it tougher for Real Madrid. Still, Ancelotti said, “Messi can do whatever he wants and Barcelona too. It’s not an issue for me. I like him as a player. For Spanish football it could be nice to have him. But it’s a matter for Messi and Barcelona.”

La Liga rejected it but said they would accept other viable plans to afford Messi. In the meantime, PSG have agreed to let Messi leave as a free agent as his contract ends this summer.

In the midst of this, Lionel Messi has been noticed to take a recent flight to Barcelona. There have been reports, sightings, and videos of the player roaming in Barcelona with his family back at his old home. He has even been seen dining with two of his best friends at the club, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets. All roads seem to lead up to Messi’s return to Barcelona now.
