Last year’s finalist Bengaluru FC will be planning to go one better this time when they take to the pitch in the Indian Super League 2023-24. BFC, who finished 4th in ISL 2022-23 points table, lost to then ATK Mohun Bagan on penalties in the final. The loss must have pinched Suni Chhetri and co. who would be determined to lift the trophy this time.

BFC have added quite a bit of firepower to the team from last season with some top Indian and foreign signings. They have managed to rope in left-winger Halicharan Narzary, young forwards Salam Johnson Singh and Rohit Danu among the notable Indian recruits. About the foreign recruits, there have been quite a few acquisitions. Defensive mid Keziah Veendorp, striker Curtis Main, midfielder Ryan Williams, centre-back Slavko Damjanovic have been added to bolster the foreign unit.
BFC will feature in the ISL season opener away to Kerala Blasters on September 21st at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi. The Blues will then face Mohun Bagan Super Giants in a rematch of last season’s final at the Salt Lake Stadium before returning to their home turf Sree Kanteerava Stadium to face another Kolkata side East Bengal FC.
BFC will play the last two matches of the first leg in their home turf, against Jamshedpur FC and NorthEast United FC respectively. The crowd support will play a big role for Simon Grayson’s team considering how loud the Kanteerava is and how well the home crowd cheers for the home team.
