PSG to ask AT LEAST €200 million from all who come KNOCKING for Kylian Mbappe

PSG have put a price tag of €200 million on their ace Kylian Mbappe who could still leave the club before the upcoming season begins.

Kylian Mbappe Transfer: PSG ace Kylian Mbappe has no intentions of extending his contract. However, PSG are having an issue with the fact that Mbappe does not want to leave the club before his contract runs out in June 2024. This means that he will leave the club as a free agent at the end of the upcoming season. Talking to La Parisien, PSG President Nasser Al Khelaifi recently said that Mbappe now has a two-week deadline to either sign an extension or be sold. Apparently, they have set an asking price of €200 million for him.

Kylian Mbappe only has a year left on his contract. That contract also comes with an option to Trigger another year of service. However, Mbappe has clearly said that he does not want to extend. This means that he is ready to leave the club. However, he is not willing to leave the club before his contract runs out at the end of the upcoming season as well. Probably because he does not want to give up on the huge salary he is receiving from PSG till June, 2024.

Even so, Mbappe will walk out of the club as a free agent if he neither extends his contract nor leaves the club before his contract runs out. For obvious reasons, this does not sit well with PSG authority. Additionally, it has only been a few weeks since arguably the world’s best player left the club as a free agent. Although, Lionel Messi joined PSG as a free agent as well. Whereas, PSG spent a whopping €180 million to bring in Mbappe in 2018.

Hence, they will be looking to make at least some return on their investment. Keeping that in mind, PSG have reportedly put an asking price of €200 million for Mbappe. The French forward still has two weeks to decide on his future. However, he will be contemplating the factor that only Real Madrid are currently pursuing him for his signature. It is true that he is still not on the market, but no other clubs are pursuing him at this moment.

Real Madrid have been trying to sign the player for some years now. Hence, they are probably the only ones who will try to spend that amount of money on Mbappe. However, they could run into some problems as they have already spent €103 million to bring Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund. Hence, spending €200 million this season can become an issue for them. Additionally, Real Madrid President Florentino Perez seems reluctant to join the race for Mbappe this year again.

However, it’s no secret that following Karim Benzema’s exit, they need a solid forward. Benzema who joined the Saudi club Al-Ittihad this transfer window, scored 31 goals and provided 6 assists in 43 appearances last season throughout all competitions. Hence, Real Madrid will have to fill that void. They were pursuing Harry Kane, but Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has been reluctant to let him go. Hence, Real Madrid already backed away from that transfer race. As a result, they could look to Mbappe for that role.
