Kylian Mbappe has finally achieved his long awaited dream. The French talismanic forward’s dream was to play for Real Madrid and now his dream has finally come true. The global superstar has now joined Spanish giants Real Madrid on a free transfer which will see him stay at the club for the next 5 years.

Kylian Mbappe started making the headlines in 2016 and 2017 as being the next best thing in World football. Rising from the ranks of Monaco, Mbappe joined PSG in the summer of 2017 for a loan deal. The following year, the deal was made final as he continued to stay at the Parisian club for the next 7 years.
In between post 2022, Real Madrid and other clubs have shown great interest in buying the superstar. Mbappe had his fair share of contract extension and fresh contract denial talks with PSG. In 2022, Real Madrid offered him £180 million transfer fee which was then turned down by PSG. Finally, Mbappe declined to trigger his 1 year contract extension and left PSG as a free agent this summer. And now he joins Real Madrid as a Galactico signing.
Kylian Mbappe Transfer Timeline
July 2013 – A young Kylian Mbappe joins Monaco academy. He gradually grown through the ranks and made his first team debut in 2015.
August 2017 – On deadline day of the transfer window, PSG went on to sign the youngster on loan. But the transfer had a clause. The next season the Parisian club will have to buy the youngster for a price of €180 million. His 5 year contract ran till June of 2022.
July 2021 – Now already a global sensation and World Cup winner, Real Madrid are determined to sign the youngster. But PSG are hell bound to keep their best player and announce that Mbappe is not up for sae at any cost.
May 2022 – Kylian Mbappe extends his stay with PSG. He signs a 2-year deal with the clause of extension for a further year. Real Madrid continue their pursuit while PSG remain determined not to sell their talisman.
July 2023 – Real Madrid offer £180 million transfer fee which PSG denies. Mbappe decides on his next adventure. He declines to sign his 1 year contract extension.
February 2024 – Mbappe informs PSG that he won’t continue and begin talks with Real Madrid to sign as a free agent.
26th May 2024 – Kylian Mbappe plays his last match for PSG in the French Cup final. Though he does score, he emerges victorious and receives the applause from the fans.
3rd June 2024 – Real Madrid announce the signing of Kylian Mbappe as a free agent for the next 5 years, just 2 days after lifting the UEFA Champions League for the 15th time.
