Kylian Mbappe REACTS on overall situation at PSG, says focus only on playing with NO EXPECTATIONS from club

Kylian Mbappe has confirmed that he is staying at PSG for one more season. In their last match of the season, PSG were defeated, but then celebrated their league title win. That sums up their mediocre season. Following this, Mbappe said that he is focused on his game and has no expectation form the club.

Kylian Mbappe: The season is done and dusted for PSG with a 2-3 defeat against Clermont Foot in their last game. Their ace Kylian Mbappe wrapped up the season with two personal accolades and the Ligue 1 trophy. However, he was not happy with ending the season with the defeat. However, when asked about the overall situation at PSG, he said, he’s only there to play. He also said has no expectations from the club and it’s not his business. PSG ace Kylian Mbappe scored his 29th goal of the season during their last Ligue 1 match against Clermont Font. With this, he became the league’s top goalscorer for the fifth consecutive time. However, he looked visibly unsatisfied with the result. The situation inside PSG has also been in turmoil. Their star players Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos have decided to leave the club. They will probably sack their coach Christophe Galtier before the start of next season. However, these are not the end of their problems.

On top of these, the club President and another talented player Hakimi are fighting dangerous allegations. Hakimi has been charged with assault. While PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has been charged with kidnapping. When Mbappe was asked about PSG’s overall situation, he said, “What do I expect from PSG next season? No, nothing, I’m just here to play. I still have a contract, I come to play. The club is doing what it can, I’ll just be happy with what the club is doing. The rest is none of my business.”

Mbappe has already said that he will remain at PSG next season. Additionally, he did not express any dissatisfaction through his words. However, his time with the club still ends in June 2024 and he has not signed any new contract yet. With only one season left on his contract, there were many speculations already that he might leave for Real Madrid. While that has not been true this transfer window, it could still happen next season. However, his words now don’t give away any hint of that.

He later talked about PSG’s tribute to Sergio Rico. He said, “The most important thing was still the tribute to Sergio Rico. There are more important things than football. On the pitch, we were already champions, we could have lost 22-0 and it wouldn’t have changed anything for us. We really had to pay tribute to Sergio, we are all affected, it has worried us all week. We will pray and send as many positive vibes as possible to get him out of this situation.”

Their goalkeeper suffered a horrific injury during a horse riding accident. He got involved in a collision with another horse and fell. He then took a blow on the head and has now been in intensive care. However, reportedly, he is in a better and stable condition. All PSG players paid tribute to the player by wearing his name on their jerseys. However, in the end, PSG lost the match 2-3 against Clermont Foot. Still, they won the title by a narrow margin and celebrated with the title.
