The defending ISL Shield champions, Mohun Bagan, will kick off their campaign at home against Mumbai City FC. East Bengal, on the other hand, will start their season away from home, facing Bengaluru FC and Kerala Blasters FC. However, the real fireworks are expected to begin in October, when the two Kolkata giants will lock horns in the first of their three clashes this season.

Adding another layer of excitement to the rivalry is the inclusion of Mohammedan Sporting Club, who qualified for the ISL by winning the I League. The Kishore Bharati Krirangan Stadium will host all of Mohammedan SC’s home games. Founded in 1891, Mohammedan Sporting is one of India’s oldest football clubs and their participation will undoubtedly add to the intensity of the Kolkata Derbies.
