This hattrick brings his goal tally in La Liga to 17 from 21 appearances. He is now second in the Pichichi race this season only behind Robert Lewandowski. With this, he now has 2 braces and 2 hattricks this season so far. It has also brought his total goal tally for Real Madrid to 352. He has become Real Madrid’s second-highest goalscorer after Cristiano Ronaldo who left the club with 451 goals to his name.
Benzema opened the scoresheet today for Real Madrid only 5 minutes into the game. The build-up for the goal started with Eder Militao who made a perfect pass to Vinicius across the pitch who caught it on the fly. Vinicius ran past his marker and chipped the ball through the middle where Benzema arrived perfectly on time. Benzema took the ball and took a beautiful shot to the back of the net.
His second came only 12 minutes later into the 17th-minute mark when he helped Real Madrid double their lead. This time the build-up for the goal began with Vazquez who dribbled his way into a space on the right side of Almeria’s box. He then passed to Rodrygo who beautifully beat Costa with skill and strength and cut the ball to Benzema. Benzema took the chance to shoot the ball into the bottom corner.
Benzema gets another first-half penalty to his name as he scores Real Madrid’s third goal of the day. Ramazani from Almeria’s side made a grave mistake and tripped Vazquez just inside the box. The referee did not hesitate to point to the penalty spot. Benzema stepped up to take the penalty. With a cool and relaxed manner, he shoots the ball in the bottom right corner while sending Almeria goalkeeper Martinez to the other side.
