Juventus: Dusan Vlahovic – Juventus signed highly-rated Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina for €70 million on Friday after he passed his medical successfully. The Serbian equaled the greatest player in footballing history record in the Serie A who is none other than Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo who had set up a record of 33 Serie A goals in a single calendar year which was equaled by Dusan Vlahovic in December 2021. In December Vlahovic equaled Cristiano Ronaldo’s 33 Serie A goals in a single calendar year record and just a month later he signed for Juventus took take up the former player’s No.7 at the club. It’s expected that Vlahović will make his Juventus debut after the FIFA international break on February 6th when they host Hellas Verona.

The City of Florence was in tatters on Friday as Juventus officially announced the signing of Dušan Vlahović for an eye-watering €75m. Vlahović, who also celebrated his 22nd birthday on Friday, did not seem as torn, beaming with pride while giving his first interview with his new side.

“Juventus represents pride, tradition, family,” he told the Juve media department. “Juventus are always there until the last minute, they never give up. The team always comes first, I am at the disposal of the coach and my teammates, who I will try to help in the best way possible.

“We always want more, and we want to improve in the future. Today is my birthday, which is really wonderful, a special day for me. This is one of the happiest birthdays I’ve experienced so far. “I want to make Juventus proud. We will always fight for all goals, as they say, fino alle fine!”

Vlahović has signed a four-year deal at the Allianz Stadium after scoring 49 goals in all competitions in his three-and-a-half seasons in Florence. The Serbia striker, who has seven goals in 14 caps for his country, arrived in Italy in the summer of 2018, joining Fiorentina from Partizan Belgrade.
