Jurgen Klopp: Wild Ride! WATCH LIVERPOOL manager Klopp pulling his hamstring after celebrating JOTA’s 94th minute winner

At Anfield, the Reds quickly jumped out to a 3-0 lead over the struggling visitors after Curtis Jones and Luis Diaz both scored goals inside the first five minutes. In the fifteenth minute, Mohamed Salah added a third goal from the penalty spot, giving Spurs a steep uphill battle.

Harry Kane, however, gave the Londoners a response just before halftime under the guidance of temporary head coach Ryan Mason. And late goals from Son Heung-min and Richarlison in the second half seemed to have given Spurs an improbable point before Jota came on in the 94th.

Jota’s late strike sent Anfield wild – and Klopp reacted by sprinting down the touchline to berate the fourth official. However, it soon became clear that the Reds chief had injured himself by doing so, as he limped back to his dugout holding his hamstring.

Klopp words after the game

Speaking after the match, Klopp said of his injury, ‘I’m not sure it’s a hamstring. It could be an adductor as well. It’s painful.’ Hopefully it isn’t too serious an injury for the Liverpool gaffer. The German looked to be in pain as he limped towards the bench.

He also spoke about the referee and was critical of the same too. Klopp said, ‘How they can give a foul on Mohamed Salah [before Spurs’ third goal]. We have our history with [Paul] Tierney, I really don’t know what he has against us, he has said there is no problems but that cannot be true.’

He continued, ‘How he looks at me, I don’t understand it. In England nobody has to clarify these situations, it’s really tricky and hard to understand. My celebration was unnecessary, which is fair but what he said to me when he gave me the yellow card is not ok.’

Gary Neville was not too pleased with what he saw with Klopp. Gary also thought that Jurgen should have been sent off for antics on the field and with the fourth official. He said, ‘Jurgen Klopp should have been sent off for what he did to the fourth official but, like we say, he won’t care. He lives on the edge.’
