Liverpool are focusing on their best possible options in 2024 as they believe Mo Salah and a couple of more first-team players will leave the club after the end of this season. They have picked two players Jamal Musiala and Leroy Sane for possible replacements.
Musiala and Sane are playing for Germany during the international break. They were instrumental in Germany’s win over the US last weekend. Bayern star Musiala scored Germany’s third goal. Meanwhile, his performance for the national team is not giving him chances under Thomas Tuchel. Bayern Munich manager is preferring Thomas Muller over him in the first XI.
As per SportBild, Musiala is frustrated after not getting a regular game under Tuchel. His contract with the Bundesliga club will expire in 2026 but it’s not possible to see him staying at Munich for the next two seasons.
The German international had talks with former Bayern sports director Hasan Salihamidzic over a possible extension in the summer. All the discussion is put on hold now and he can only wait for the ideal time. Bayern will also see how Tuchel plans his XI in the upcoming months.
Top clubs are also monitoring the situation of Musiala and Real Madrid are one of them. Los Blancos are keen to sign a German player to make a pair with Jude Bellingham at the Santiago Bernabeu. Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp is also considering him along with his Bayern team-mate Sane. Sane has been identified as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah who is likely to move to Saudi Arabia next summer.
Musiala is still in Bayern’s plans despite not getting regular time under Thomas Tuchel. The Bundesliga club is keen to give him a hike in his current €8m a year wages. They are giving him a salary hike to make him one of the highest-paid players at Bayern. Currently, Harry Kane is highest highest-paid player at Bayern Munich. Musiala is keen to get more minutes so he can boost his performance. The 20-year-old can think about the possible move to Liverpool or Real Madrid to find more game time.
