Julian Nagelsmann FIRED: Bundesliga: In a shocking turn of events, Julian Nagelsmann has been fired as the head coach of Bayern Munich with immediate effect, according to reports from Fabrizio Romano. The 35-year-old was dismissed following Bayern’s 2-1 defeat to Bayer 04 Leverkusen on Sunday, which allowed Borussia Dortmund to move to the top of the Bundesliga. Nagelsmann joined Bayern Munich in 2021, replacing Hansi Flick who left to become the coach of the German national team. The young coach had a successful first season with the Bavarian giants, leading them to their 10th consecutive German title. However, Bayern’s form this season has been inconsistent, and they currently trail Dortmund by one point in the points table.

The decision to sack Nagelsmann comes as a surprise to many. He had previously impressed at RB Leipzig, leading them to the semi-finals of the Champions League in 2020. Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has been appointed as Bayern’s next manager.
