Jude Bellingham achieved a significant milestone by scoring in the 4-0 La Liga victory over Girona on Saturday, joining an exclusive club alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Ronaldo Nazario.
Bellingham, aged 20, secured a brace on either side of halftime following Vinicius Junior’s early opener at the Santiago Bernabeu. Rodrygo Goes sealed the win in the 61st minute, extending Carlo Ancelotti’s team’s lead to five points at the top of the table after 24 matches.
Bellingham’s first goal, 10 minutes before halftime, marked his 15th in the La Liga season, placing him in esteemed company alongside Ronaldo Nazario, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Gareth Bale as the only Real Madrid players to achieve this feat in their debut season.
All four players are considered Madrid legends, with each going on to score over 100 goals for the club, except for Van Nistelrooy, who netted 64 times. Therefore, Bellingham finds himself in illustrious company as he embarks on what promises to be a prosperous career with the La Liga frontrunners.
With his second goal of the night, Bellingham’s season tally rose to 20 goals, with 16 in the league and four in the UEFA Champions League, where Real Madrid enjoyed a flawless group-stage campaign.
