Jose Mourinho RED CARD: In a shocking loss against the Cremonese, Roma boss Jose Mourinho sees red card for the third time this season. Mourinho’s side was already 1-0 down against Cremonese in the Coppa Italia quarter-final match. As the second half started, the frustrated boss was dissent by referee Marco Piccinini who kept pointing at the fourth official saying, “It’s him, it’s him.” Mourinho communicated with the bench through written notes. Roma equalized at the 71 minutes mark. However, Cremonese regained their lead after scoring with just under 10 minutes of official time left on the clock which led them to their first Serie A win in 27 years.

Many claim that the Portugal boss hurled abuses like “f**king c**t” at the fourth official which led to the red card. However, when asked during the post-match press conference, Mourinho said, “I need to understand if I can take any legal action. I want to find out if there is an audio recording. I don’t want to get into the fact that Serra is from Turin and on Sunday we are playing against Juventus. For the first time in my career, a fourth official spoke to me in the most incredible way. It was unjustifiable.”

The dispute started as a clash happened between Frank Tsadjout from Cremonese and Marash Kumbulla from Roma. When Mourinho asked for an explanation, apparently the fourth official Marco Serra told him “mind your own f**king business” and “they all take the p*ss out of you, go home”. According to reports, Italian Football Federation has opened investigation looking into the matter.

Following the similar 2-1 loss against Cremonese in early February saw Roma knocked out of Coppa Italia. Their chances to qualify for the Champions League also seems to have gone down after their loss against Cremonese yesterday. They now sit at the 5th position at the league table with just a 1 point gap from the top 4. It will be subject to watch how Roma handles the pressure against Juventus following the absence of Mourinho at the ground.
