Jose Mourinho, the manager of Roma, has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia at the end of his contract in the Italian city. The Special One is ready for a fresh challenge with only a few months left on his contract with the Giallorossi. Jose Mourinho will allegedly be able to accept a rumoured £104 million ($127 million) contract offer from Saudi Arabia in 2024.
The Portuguese strategist is negotiating a contract in the Italian city that will expire at the conclusion of the season. According to Sky Sports Italia, no extension discussions have taken place, and a part away is expected next summer. Mourinho had previously agreed to stay at Roma for a third season after leading the club to a UEFA Conference League title and a UEFA Europa League final.
José Mourinho previously stated that he fully intends to work in Saudi Arabia one day after, Cristiano Ronaldo, blazed the way by joining Al Nassr. Following that, a slew of players signed with Saudi Pro League teams.
Mourinho has said: “I am focused on Roma and I will give my all until the last day I am here. Nobody knows the future, but I am convinced I will coach in Saudi Arabia one day. I don’t know when, but I am quite sure it’s something I’ll surely do.”
According to reports, one ambitious team in the Middle East is willing to offer Mourinho a two-year contract worth £104 million. If such terms are granted, one of the most renowned managers in international football will join the Saudi Pro League with Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Neymar, and Sadio Mane.
