James Milner joined Liverpool in 2015 from Manchester City on a free transfer. He was then dominating the midfield for City but was transitioned to left back under Jurgen Klopp. Before joining Liverpool, Milner already had 2 Premier League trophies with City. However, with Liverpool, he not only added one more Premier League trophy to his collection but also won UEFA Champions League, Community Shield, EFL Cup, FA Cup, Super Cup, and Club World Cup. He has appeared 27 times for Liverpool this season, most of the time from the bench.
Liverpool’s transfer for 2023/24
After one of the worst seasons in terms of results in this decade, Liverpool will be heading into the transfer market aggressively. They are working to revamp their midfield and add more attacking power in the front. Bridgton’s Mac Allister is one of Liverpol’s main targets for next summer. They are also monitoring Lovro Majer and Sporting CP’s Manuel Ugarte. Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo might also be heading to Anfield after a successful season in Ligue 1.
In terms of departure, another Liverpool legend Roberto Firmino will be leaving the club at the end of the season. Arthur Melo will most probably be returning to Juventus after a horrific loan stint.
