ISL 2024-25: Mohun Bagan to face Mumbai City in tournament opener, Check full table

ISL 2024-25: This year's Indian Super League promises to be a mega event, with Mohun Bagan looking to replicate their last year's performances.

The ISL 2024-25 schedule is finally out and it will be Mohun Bagan Super Giant who will face Mumbai City FC on September 13 in Kolkata. One of the most important matches of the season, the Kolkata derby — Mohun Bagan vs East Bengal will be played at the Salt Lake Stadium on October 19.

ISL 2024-25 Schedule

The new season will start close to 130 days after the final between Mohun Bagan and Mumbai City FC. This time around there will be 13 teams in the competition, one more than the previous 12. Mohammedan Sporting Club will be the new addition to ISL, who are the reigning I-League champions.

As far as the format of the tournament is concerned, it is the same just like previous times. The team with the maximum points in the group stages will win the ISL shield, whereas six teams will move to the knockout stages.

There’s a lot in store for the fans, as Chennaiyin FC will start their campaign on the 14th September to play against Odisha FC. On the other hand, Bengaluru FC will take on East Bengal FC on the same day. Come Sunday, 15th September, Kerala Blasters FC will host Punjab FC in Kochi, in the only match of the day.
