Owen Coyle chose to depart from Jamshedpur FC despite having a fantastic season there last year. As a result, Jamshedpur FC hired former English footballer Aidy Boothroyd to replace their League Shield-winning coach. The 51-year-old coach has vast experience and expertise at the highest level, managing upper-edge English clubs such as Watford, Colchester United, Northampton Town, and Coventry City.
After three successful seasons with Watford, he was deemed as one of England’s best young managers. Aside from managing these clubs, Boothroyd was responsible for the growth of young English footballers who went on to play for England in the FIFA World Cup 2018 squad and the UEFA Euro 2020.

The team’s core lineup from the previous season has been retained. The club will benefit greatly from the renewal of players such as captain Peter Hartley, Eli Sabia, Jitendra Singh, and others. To say the least, the squad appears to be well-organized with the new additions like the former Arsenal youth team captain, Jay Emmanuel Thomas, Wellington and Harry Sawyer.
