Last year’s Santosh Trophy was held at Payyanad Stadium, and Gokulam Kerala FC plays at Corporation Stadium. Kerala Blasters play their home games at the Kochi stadium. The matches will take place over two time periods. The prime time games at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium will begin at 7 p.m., while the games at the other two venues will begin at 4 p.m.

All Indian Super League teams and the I-League champion of 2022-23 will be given direct entry into the competition’s group stage. The four remaining berths will be determined by qualification rounds, which will include I-League teams. The qualifiers for teams that did not advance to the direct qualifying round will begin on April 3 in Kerala. The 16-team competition will take place from April 8 to April 25.

RoundGlass Punjab FC, the recently crowned I-League champions,Bengaluru FC, Kerala Blasters FC. The winners of the qualifier between the second-ranked I-League team and the team that won the eliminator make form Group A. Hyderabad FC, Odisha FC, East Bengal FC, and the winner of the playoff between the fourth- and seventh-place I-League teams make up Group B.
Group C consists of ATK Mohun Bagan, Jamshedpur FC, FC Goa, and the winners of the playoff between the third- and eighth-place teams in the I-League. Mumbai City FC, Chennaiyin FC, North East United FC, and the winners of the playoff between the fifth- and sixth-ranked I-League teams make up Group D. They were just named ISL 2022-23 League Shield winners and were ousted by Bengaluru FC in the semifinals.
