As per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona have received the final approval to be able to register Gundogan as their new signing. La Blaugrana have received the ‘yes’ from Gundogan and it is now a done deal. Apparently, the player has signed a 2-year deal with the Catalan club. The contract which is valid till 2025 comes with the option of an additional year. Reportedly, Barcelona staff have already approved Gundogan’s medical tests. Barcelona have been trying to bring in the player, but there were doubts due to their financial issues.
However, it seems, they will prevail and will be able to register Gundogan in this transfer window. In their quest to stabilize their financial woes, Barcelona took on the venture to sell and let go of some of their players. They started by saying goodbye to their veterans and key players Jordi Alba and club captain Sergio Busquets. Barcelona have been keen on strengthening their midfield in their absence. While Gundogan will not be an exact replacement for Sergio Busquets, he will still be a strong addition to the team.
