Former ISL Champions Hyderabad FC dealt with major blow ahead of ISL 2023-24

Even before the 2023-24 Indian football season begins on Thursday, Hyderabad FC is in a terrible situation. HFC are in danger as a result of the transfer ban imposed.

The 2021–22 Indian Super League (ISL) champions, Hyderabad FC, are in a difficult position even before the 2023–24 Indian football season begins on Thursday. HFC are in trouble as a result of the transfer ban that was put in place.

On February 14, 2023, the club received a transfer ban as a result of Nestor Gordillo, an ex-player who played for the team in the 2019–2020 season, filing a complaint. The club’s ability to add new players to its roster has been severely constrained as a result of this restriction.

Since November 2022, there has been a transfer prohibition in effect. It is anticipated to persist for a maximum of three full and consecutive registration periods and until the remaining balance owed to the pertinent creditor is paid.

Hyderabad FC has confirmed the additions of numerous new players this season despite the transfer ban, including Vignesh Dakshinamurthy, Makan Chothe, and Jonathan Moya.

If a solution cannot be found, their plan to bolster the team for the upcoming season may fail. The club’s continued inability to add these new players to their roster for the 2023–24 season casts doubt on the players’ future assignments with HFC.

To make matters worse, one of the club’s previous foreign recruits from the 2022–2023 season has chosen to contact FIFA regarding unpaid wages when he was a member of the team. This season, the player has joined a different ISL team. This can result in additional punishments or sanctions for Hyderabad FC.

The ISL team has been assigned to Durand Cup Group E together with Delhi FC, Tribhuvan Army FC, and Chennaiyin FC. Their opening match is scheduled for August 6, however they have not yet left for Guwahati.
