Thomas Tuchel responds to possible transfer of Harry Kane to Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel responded to reporters' questions about Harry Kane's possible move to the German club. He doesn't take Kane's name but agrees that they need a player of the position of Kane.

Harry Kane Transfer: Harry Kane has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich since last month. However, the transfer talks are not going smoothly as Tottenham Hotspur remain stubborn in their stand to not let Kane leave. So far, they have rejected both bids presented by Bayern. In the meantime, there have been reports that Kane has spoken to Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel who is an admirer of the Spurs forward. Tuchel has recently responded to reporters’ questions about Kane’s possible arrival at Bayern.

Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane could be moving to the German club Bayern Munich. Recently, coach Thomas Tuchel was asked about Kane and the possibility of his move to Bayern. Tuchel said, “I have a very boring answer: I do not comment on players who are not with us. It’s well known that we are looking for a number 9. If we find someone that fits in, then we’ll go all in. If we don’t find anyone, we’re happy with our squad. But we need more patience.”

Thomas Tuchel has not specifically named Kane in the midst of transfer talks. However, there were rumours that he talked to Kane to convince him to make the move. Additionally, he has also agreed that Bayern need a player in the attacking position. They brought on Sadio Mane from Liverpool last year. However, that move did not turn out to be fruitful. Mane could be looking on his way out of the club only after a struggling and controversial year in Bayern.

As a result, Bayern are looking for a forward who will lead the team’s attack. The German club is considering Harry Kane as the perfect fit for the position. However, Tottenham Hotspur are remaining stubborn in their stand. Especially, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy does not want to let go of their ace player. Bayern have presented two bids so far. Their second bid is valued at £70 million. However, Spurs have put a £120 million asking price on Kane’s head and will not compromise on the price.

In the meantime, Spurs have been trying to convince Kane to extend his contract with them. However, Kane is clear that he wants to leave. Kane only has a year left on his contract. Hence, in such a situation, if they don’t sell him as soon as possible, Kane will walk out of the club as a free agent at the end of the upcoming season. He can even join any of their Premier League rivals if he wanted then.

Kane is Premier League’s second-highest goalscorer, just behind Alan Sherer. Hence, he could prioritise a move to another Premier League club if he walks out free next year. However, if Bayern and Spurs can come to a compromise for the England captain, then he could leave for Germany this transfer window. However, Bayern will have to be firm and quick as PSG have also shown interest in Kane. PSG could soon come in with an offer close to Spurs’ matching price.
