Harry Kane Transfer: Bayern Munich are still adamant about seeing through the transfer of Harry Kane. As per reports, to further transfer talks, two Bayern officials will fly to London on Friday to hold talks with Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy. However, the situation is growing complicated with the involvement of PSG who are willing to spend as much as they need. Yet, Kane does not want a move to the French club. However, Levy will use PSG’s extravagant bids as leverage in any deals with Bayern.

There is still over a month to go till the transfer window closes. However, Bayern Munich are not willing to loosen up on their pursuit of Harry Kane. They want to complete the transfer as soon as possible and they are pushing for it. Reportedly, Bayern’s technical director Marco Neppe and chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen stayed back in Munich when the club travelled to Japan for their pre-season campaign. Apparently, the two officials stayed behind to work on the Kane transfer situation.
Reportedly, these two officials are scheduled to meet with Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy to further Harry Kane’s transfer talks. Dreesen met with Levy around two weeks ago and the two clubs kept the communication line open. Now they will again fly to London on Friday for further talks. However, in the middle of this, PSG are determined to make the situation more complicated than it already is. Levy is already hesitant to let go of Kane, but there’s only one season left on his contract.
They presented Kane with a lucrative deal which is a significant improvement on his current £200,000-per-week salary. However, he does not want to extend his deal with Spurs at all. He is also chasing Alan Shearer’s record of 260 goals in the Premier League. However, to compete for the record, he also needs to stay in the Premier League. Hence, there is a chance that if he walks away from Spurs as a free agent, then he might join any of their Premier League rivals.

On the other hand, if Kane stays for another year, even though Spurs miss out on a huge transfer sum, performance-wise they could still improve. Kane could evidently still help them, so Levy has a tough decision to make. Bayern have had both of their bids rejected by Spurs. Their latest bid was worth around €70 million plus add-ons. However, apparently, they are ready to improve upon their bid to an €80 million offer plus add-ons. However, it will still fall short of Spurs’ asking price of around €117 million.
PSG have already made the transfer window complicated as they are ready to outbid anyone in the process to acquire any player they want. Kane has no interest in joining PSG, but Levy will use PSG’s bids as leverage to create a chaotic market around the player. Additionally, Levy and PSG President Nasser al-Khelaifi share a good relationship that could work against Bayern’s favour. However, with Kane wanting to move to Germany and his contract expiration pushing Levy, Bayern and Spurs could come to a decision.
