Right after the Mumbai Indians game, Ashish Kapoor, the assistant coach of Gujarat Titans said that Hardik experienced a back strain and thus was not risked with the ball. But now after almost 2 weeks since the incident, Hardik Pandya has played an active part in the field, and with the bat, he hasn’t been spotted with the ball. Therefore this raises questions about his potential injury concerns.

On the other hand, Gujarat Titans experienced a hefty 15-run defeat at the hands of MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings in Qualifier 1. But the defending champions have a lifeline on their hands. They will face the winner of the Eliminator between Lucknow Super Giants vs Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 2. It remains to be seen if Hardik is fit enough to bowl in the next game.
