Where Davis managed to maintain his status as undefeated and kept his record intact. For those who didn’t watch the fight, it began in classic Davis fashion with the fighter actually observing Gracia and eating his punches in the earlier rounds.

Moreover, neither boxer really tried any major punches until the third round, when Gracia started the round with a punch right to the body and appeared aggressive. Following that, both boxers began to demonstrate their skill with their strikes, and from the third to the sixth round, it was simply the two men striking each other one after the other. Later, Davis put Gracia’s unbeaten record to a halt.

What caused Gracia to lose the fight?

However, it was all enough for Gracia, as he got injured and didn’t get up after being taken in the corner. And later he was announced as the winner of the bout.
