As per the Daily Mail, Gary is currently the top contender on the wishlist for potential hosts when TNT Sports launches later this year. The broadcaster has secured two seasons of live Premier League rights and four additional years of Champions League matches, with plans to acquire EFL rights.
Notably, Lineker was sacked by BBC following his controversial anti-govt remarks on social media. The Broadcaster announced that Lineker is stepping back from Premier League Highlights show, ‘Match of the Day’.

However, BBC received severe backlash from viewers and Gary’s fellow presenters. In a display of solidarity, Gary’s fellow presenters decided not to appear on air. As a result, The show was broadcasted without any presenters, pundits, or commentators.
Later, the BBC released a brief statement regarding their ‘limited’ scheduling after cancelling most of their football coverage for the weekend.

‘The BBC will only be able to bring limited sport programming this weekend and our schedules will be updated to reflect that. We are sorry for these changes which recognise will be disappointing for BBC sport fans”, the statement read.
Meanwhile, the ex-BBC presenter looked least bothered as he cheered for his boyhood club Leicester City in Premier League match against Chelsea. Gary was seen in a cheerful mood, joking and taking selfies with fans in the stands.
