With 14 appearances and three goals with LAFC in the MLS, Bale completed his club career. Later, he scored for Wales in their 1-1 World Cup draw with the USA.
Ben Foster in Wrexham
One former Premier League player has already agreed to play for Wrexham this year after coming out of retirement. The freshly crowned National League champions added Ben Foster to their roster before the final stretch, and the former England goalie was crucial in helping them win.
The highlight for Foster was undoubtedly the last-second penalty stop against title contender Notts County that ended the game. When their team won the championship last weekend, McElhenney and co-owner Ryan Reynolds were overcome with emotion.

The former was spotted crying as ecstatic Wrexham supporters swarmed the field. Because of their deeds, supporters have dubbed Reynolds and McElhenney the “best owners in football.” Wrexham have been on the charge ever since they were bought by the Hollywood duo of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
Now that Wrexham have secured promotion back to League Two from the National League, they will need to start planning for the way ahead. In League Two, they will face much stiffer competition every week and will need to be on their toes. Getting Gareth Bale would be a huge boost for the side, but that should just be the start for them. A couple more smart recruitments will set them on their way.
