In the press conference ahead of the game against Bournemouth, Mikel Arteta confirmed that Jesus will be returning to the squad very soon saying, “He’s not far now. I don’t want to give a timeline – he’s not very close, but he’s not far at all, and he’s feeling better every day. The doctors are confident with the way the injury is evolving and we are in a good place with him, I think.”
However, Jesus is unavailable for the Saturday game against Bournemouth as per the Gunners’ manager. When asked if the Brazilian striker will be seen before the international break, he exclaimed, “We don’t know. We’re not far away but he needs to do much more with the team.” Arsenal will be playing their last game on 19th March against Crystal Palace before the international break. Players will be returning in the last week of March and the Gunners will resume their title hunt from 1st of April.
