Gabriel Jesus being eyed by Real Madrid & FC Barcelona, Check OUT

Arsenal's Brazilian, Gabriel Jesus wanted by Real Madrid and Barcelona

Real Madrid and Barcelona are apparently preparing to fight it out for Gabriel Jesus. Arsenal are preparing as both the Spanish clubs are plotting a raid for the Brazilian forward. The 26-year-old Brazilian forward only made the £45 million transfer from Manchester City to the Emirates in the summer of 2022. In just over a year, the two big Spanish clubs are eyeing to tempt him away from the Emirates.

Real Madrid and FC Barcelona want Gabriel Jesus

Gabriel Jesus was a key part of the Arsenal team last season. His previous club, Manchester City defeated the Gunners to win the Premier League despite his 11 goals for them in the Premier League. This season though, in his seven top-flight appearances this season, Jesus has only managed to reach the net once.

But the two largest La Liga teams are reportedly taking notice of his performance in the Champions League. In Tuesday’s 2-1 victory over Sevilla, Gabriel Jesus scored to move Arsenal to the top of Group B.

Gabriel Jesus has three goals and an assist from his three outings in the competition this term. As they look for Karim Benzema’s long-term replacement, Real Madrid is reportedly prepared to attempt and make Jesus their new No. 9 in the summer, according to Spanish publication AS.

After the Frenchman left for Saudi Arabia in August, veteran Spanish player Joselu came on loan from Espanyol, but it was only a temporary fix. Jesus can fill up that huge Karim Benzema void in the forward line.

Additionally, the Samba star is a more appealing and affordable choice than some other possible targets due to his rumored £65.1 million price.

Barcelona to fight for Jesus

Real Madrid, however, presumably have to contend with fierce rivals Barcelona. They are also seeking a replacement for 35-year-old Robert Lewandowski, who has been connected to Gabriel Jesus on multiple occasions. However, Arteta will be hesitant to let go of the seasoned forward in his team.

Jesus has found the back of the net in the UEFA Champions League 23 times already. He is only the second player to score in his first three appearances in the competition for Arsenal after Marouane Chamakh achieved the feat back in 2011.

After his great performance vs Sevilla, Gabriel Jesus said, ‘I don’t know why, but ever since my debut in the Champions League I have scored goals. It’s a competition I love but I haven’t won it so now I am looking to pick up this beautiful trophy.’

He continued, ‘Obviously that is not going to be easy, but we all have to believe we can do it or there is no point in being here. So now it is about keeping this energy for the rest of our group games and this result gives us a bit more confidence in this competition.’
