Cristiano Ronaldo: Five days after Al Nassr’s game against Abha, where Cristiano Ronaldo made headlines for losing his temper and was shown a yellow card for a mini tantrum at half-time, the superstar was in the headlines again in Saturday’s game against the same opposition Abha, but for the right reason. Ronaldo scored his first-ever goal at Mrsool Park, Al Nassr’s home to beat Abha for the second time in a week. Follow Football LIVE Updates on Insidesport.IN
A spectacular free kick in the 78th minute in Saturday’s Saudi Pro League game, as the stadium erupted. Ronaldo stands tall, with four to five steps backward directly behind the ball to take the free kick and strike the ball with immense power, as the ball passes the free kick wall and the goalkeeper, ends at the back of the goal, we all have seen that in the past. Saturday’s goal exactly took our memories back to the old times when he alone make difference in the game with his moment of magic on the pitch.

Even though Ronaldo had netted eight times in the first nine games for Al Nassr, the 78th-minute free-kick goal was interestingly his first goal at home for the Riyadh side.
After the game, the superstar wrote a social media post, stating, ‘Great to get the win and so happy to score here in our stadium with our fans!’
The stunning 30-yard free-kick was the leveler for the home side, as the visitors took a shock lead in the first half to go onto the break with a narrow 1-0 lead. Moreover, with the game level at 1-1, the Saudi Pro League title challengers were awarded a penalty, late in the game as Talisca converted a penalty kick to seal a 2-1 victory. The win keeps Ronaldo’s side in touching distance with table toppers Al-Ittihad by one point in the second.

The game was witnessed by 25,000 spectators inside the stadium, as Ronaldo’s first home goal since joining in January made the occasion bigger, sparking the mood in the stadium. Earlier in the week, Al Nassr had beaten Abha 3-1 in the King Cup.
Al Nassr will again be in action after the international break, on April 4 an away game against Al-Adalah in the league encounter.
