Talking about Raphael Varane, Ten Hag said, “The prognosis, I think Rapha is closer than Scott McTominay in this moment.” But, he also added that both of them are still unavailable for the next game two games, which are against Brighton and West Ham. Varane sustained a foot injury against Sevilla, where he was substituted in the first half. The same match witnessed the injury of his center-back pair, Lisandro Martinez. The World Cup winner will go through surgery and is out for the rest of the season.
Ten Hag also updated on Alejandro Garnacho’s injury, who recently renewed his contract with the Red Devils.“I think we have one training [session], but I think it’s too soon to be available. I think he is short [of full fitness]. I think he needs some training and then, in short notice, he will be available,” said the Dutch manager.

United have been struggling with injuries this season mostly due to playing several games. United have already won the Carabao Cup and were in contention for 2 other trophies; FA Cup and Europa League till last month. As a result, United players were playing games regularly without full recovery.
As a result players like Rashford, Sabitzer, Eriksen, Martial, and others also sustained injuries during the season. However, most of them are back and only Donny Van de Beek and Lisandro Martinez are out for the rest of the season.
United will be playing against Brighton midweek before facing West Ham on Sunday. Both games are crucial for the Red Devils as they seek to cement their third position in the Premier League table.
