Saka is the second Arsenal player to win the award this year after Martin Odegaard, who won it jointly in November and December. This is Saka’s first time taking home the honour. In addition, Arteta received the title of Manager of the Month for the fourth time in 2022–2023.

The 21-year-old opened the scoring and set up Gabriel Martinelli for the second goal in their 4-0 victory over Everton at the beginning of March. a brace and another set-up for Martinelli in Arsenal’s 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace at the Emirates. Leandro Trossard, an Arsenal teammate, was also a candidate for the player’s award after recording five assists in March.

With a magnificent goal against Leeds, Jonny Otto may have already secured the Premier League goal of the season award. It was appropriately designated as the month’s goal. Wolves found themselves down 3-0 to Leeds and on the verge of defeat. They re-entered the game in the most remarkable way imaginable.

Illan Meslier, the goalie, raced off his goal line to clear a dangerous ball forward with his head outside the box as Leeds was cruising. But when Marc Roca recklessly kicked the ball across the pitch, Jonny saw an odd opportunity and took it. Jonny slammed the ball first time on the volley and watched his effort from a long distance sail over Meslier and into the goal.
