Hammers players Rice, Areola, and others were standing chatting with a massive dog named Shadow alongside them in the car parking. Cornet, who clearly isn’t a big fan of dogs, stood 20 meters away from the group. Seeing Cornet’s anxious look, Areola told the dog to chase the terrified Cornet.
In life, one is scared of something, no matter how strong and powerful one is, in this case, Cornet seems to be afraid of dogs. The dog took full advantage and when unleashed, decides to test Cornet’s sprinting skills. Running for life, Cornet dashed towards the door as his teammates burst into laughter.
The dog catches up to Cornet and then goes back straight to Areola and the group, as Cornet was seen hiding inside the building.
Reacting to the video, one person said, ‘Good to see Cornet working on his fitness 🤣.’
Another added, ‘Watching that you can tell he’s definitely over his injury 🤣🤣👍.’
However, many West Ham fans were worried his time on the sidelines may be extended as the winger is recovering from an injury and made a full sprint away from the dog.
One user wrote, ‘Out injured for the rest of the season now cheers lads.’ While the other added, ‘That’s him out for the rest of the season cheers thiol‘
A third one added to state, ‘Don’t get him injured’
Cornet has spent a long time away from the pitch, having suffered a calf injury back in October against the Wolves. The Ivorian made his return last month but restricted to making appearances from the bench so far. The 26-year-old arrived in West Ham from Burnley in the summer signing a five-year contract, he is yet to score for the Hammers in the 14 appearances, providing five assists.
