Manchester United has already triggered the 1-year extension that was left in his deal and that is also due to end in 2024. However, as per reports, there have been no solid steps that the Red Devils have taken to secure his position in the team.
Along with Marcus Rashford, there are still Fred, Luke Shaw, David de Gea, and Diogo Dalot, who will be out of their Man United deals soon enough. However, Marcus Rashford should still be on the top of their priority list with the season he’s having. Sources close to both sides have said on one occasion or more that these are still early days and they have still many discussions to get to. However, a mutual understanding has been seen from both sides that this deal will be the most important and the biggest contract of Rashford’s career. When Man United boss Erik Ten Hag was asked about the matter, he called it a “priority” and added, “We are working on that. Just sit and wait, but in the background, we work hard.”
Rashford’s talent has been recognized by top clubs long back and PSG President, Nasser Al-Khelaifi already called the forward “really amazing” once before. As per reports, Rashford currently earns £200,000 per week at Manchester United. Whereas, PSG even came to Manchester United with a £400,000 per week deal. Marcus Rashford denied that deal at the time, but if Man United fail to renew the star player’s contract in time, then PSG could come back with the same or a better deal.
